Together with our local and international partners we unlock international capacity and local potential in providing effective humanitarian relief and solutions in the world’s most complex emergencies. We support organisations that are present on-site to provide humanitarian aid.

Stronger together

Humanitarian aid is increasingly carried out by local organisations who understand the local context and how communities can be supported. Our partners know the language, geography, and customs of the communities in which they operate. Local organisations also tend to be better positioned when it comes to gaining access to difficult-to-reach areas.

Dutch Postcode Lottery

The Netherlands Refugee Foundation has received annual contributions from the Postcode Lottery since 1996; every year, we receive €4 million from de Postcode Lottery.

In 2024 The Netherlands Refugee Foundation launched the 5 year ASPIRE program in Iraq, Lebanon and Türkiye. ASPIRE is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
